Basketball Recap: Denbigh Baptist Christian Find Success

Denbigh Baptist Christian hadn't done well against Summit Christian Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Denbigh Baptist Christian Minutemen pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over the Summit Christian Academy Eagles. Leading Denbigh Baptist Christian to victory were William Showalter and Kyre Ferguson. Showalter posted 15 points, while Ferguson had 14 points. Ferguson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyson Fox, who earned nine points.

Despite the loss, Summit Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Cole Miller, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Miller has posted since back in January of 2024. Chase Miller was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Denbigh Baptist Christian and bumps their season record up to 12-7. As for Summit Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-12.
