Basketball Recap: Newport Skates Past Junction City with Ease

Newport lost to Junction City back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Newport Cubs blew past the Junction City Tigers 74-37.

Newport's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Junction City, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Newport will venture away from home to take on North Bend at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Junction City, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Junction City Tigers take on the Mountain View Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
