Soccer Recap: Sierra Canyon Comes Up Short

Sierra Canyon lost against Harvard-Westlake back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers came up short against the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 629th, while the Wolverines are ranked 59th).

Sierra Canyon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-2 record this season. As for Harvard-Westlake, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4-2.

Sierra Canyon has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Crespi on the 27th. As for Harvard-Westlake, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Bishop Alemany on the 29th.
