Recap: Eisenhower Eagles vs. Spring Lions

The Eisenhower Eagles pushed their score all the way to 66 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Spring by a score of 69-66. While losing is never fun, Eisenhower can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 941st, while Spring is ranked 252nd).

Among those leading the charge was Cedric Richardson, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Elijah Pittman, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.

Eisenhower bumped their record down to 4-17 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Spring, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Eisenhower will head out on the road to face off against Benjamin Davis at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Spring, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
