Softball Recap: Freedom Has No Trouble Against Pen Argyl

Freedom barely beat Pen Argyl the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Freedom put the hurt on Pen Argyl with a sharp 8-2 victory on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2018.

The win made it two in a row for Freedom and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Pen Argyl, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will welcome Pocono Mountain East at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pen Argyl, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Jim Thorpe at 4:00 p.m. Jim Thorpe has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.6 runs per game on average), something Pen Argyl will no doubt try to take advantage of.
