Football Recap: Dacula Takes a Loss

Dacula had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They took a blow against the Buford Wolves, falling 58-7. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Garrison G Cantrell threw for 65 yards and one touchdown. Ryan Turner was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

As for Buford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.3 points this season.

Dayton Raiola produced another solid performance throwing for 183 yards and four TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. Dylan McCoy was another key player, rushing for 92 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Dacula and Buford should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 120th) will meet Mountain View (ranked 259th) at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Buford will challenge Central Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th with a big rank advantage (2 vs. 172).
