It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Poquoson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-7 win over the Lafayette Rams. Those ten points were actually the fewest the Islanders have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The victory keeps Poquoson at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.6 points on average this season. As for Lafayette, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
