Centennial came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Joshua Owls , sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Centennial was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (108-104), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 27-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-10.

Kallie Connelly gave her former team something to remember she by as she had 22 digs and two aces for Centennial. The dominant performance gave Connelly a new career-high in aces.

Centennial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season. As for Joshua, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 20-13 record.

Centennial will take on Burleson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Centennial has won 15 straight at home dating back to last season, while Burleson won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Joshua, they will square off against Everman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Joshua is facing Everman at the right time seeing as Everman is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
