Preview: Bowie Pirates vs. Maud Cardinals
Bowie has been on the road for seven straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Maud Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Bowie, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-28 loss to Bloomburg.
Meanwhile, Maud ended up a good deal behind Avery on Tuesday and lost 35-21. Maud has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Maud saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chesni Martin , who scored 10 points, was perhaps the best of all. Martin scored a full 47.6% of Maud's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Osborne , who scored 6 points.
Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Maud, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
