Deep Run is 9-1 against Hermitage since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Deep Run will take on Hermitage at 6:30 p.m. Deep Run will be strutting in after a win while Hermitage will be coming in after a defeat.

Deep Run had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt J.R. Tucker on Friday. Deep Run's pitchers stepped up to hand J.R. Tucker a 14-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kaden Staffenberg looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Henry Jennings and Aiden Bradshaw did most of the damage at the plate: Jennings scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Bradshaw scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Jacob Saunders was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Deep Run kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as J.R. Tucker only managed two hits.

Meanwhile, Hermitage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varina.

Bryce Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Hermitage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Deep Run, their record is now 2-0.

Everything went Deep Run's way against Hermitage when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Deep Run made off with a 9-1 victory. Will Deep Run repeat their success, or does Hermitage has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
