Volleyball Recap: Xavier Beats Kewaskum for Their Sixth Straight Win

Xavier had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Kewaskum Indians on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on six straight.

Xavier can attribute much of their success to Bella Velasquez, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces Velasquez has posted over her last nine contests.

Velasquez wasn't the only good servers: Xavier was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matchups.

Xavier's win bumped their record up to 29-10. As for Kewaskum, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 19-18.

Coming up, Xavier will be playing at home against Winneconne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kewaskum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
