Swansea had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Newberry Bulldogs 13-3 on Wednesday. The Tigers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 17-1).
Swansea let Abigail Brazier and LaMonika Wright run wild. Brazier went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Wright got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those two doubles gave Brazier a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Porter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Swansea always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newberry only posted an OBP of .200.
