Baseball Game Preview: Chesnee Eagles vs. Clinton Red Devils

The Chesnee Eagles will square off against the Clinton Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Chesnee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past York Prep 7-0. Considering the Eagles have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Clinton posted their closest victory since April 15th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Central 5-3.

Chesnee's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 25-3.

Chesnee couldn't quite get it done against Clinton in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 7-4. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
