Basketball Game Preview: Parklane Academy Pioneers vs. Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets

Parklane Academy and Oak Forest Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Parklane Academy Pioneers will head out to challenge the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Parklane Academy took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed back in December of 2024. They walked away with a 50-41 win over Woodlawn Prep. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Oak Forest Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Jackson Prep. Oak Forest Academy pulled ahead with a 55-54 photo finish over Jackson Prep. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Oak Forest Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Parklane Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Parklane Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oak Forest Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 45-39 victory. Will Parklane Academy repeat their success, or does Oak Forest Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
