Softball Recap: Elsinore Victorious

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Elsinore came out on top against Valencia by a score of 11-6. With that win, Elsinore brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Jaycee Hullar was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haylie Box, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Elsinore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Elsinore back to even at 5-5. As for Valencia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elsinore will venture away from home to challenge El Camino at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Elsinore's pitchers better be ready for this one: El Camino has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Valencia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Valley View at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
