Volleyball Recap: West Caldwell Tech Picks Up 16th Consecutive Win

West Caldwell Tech entered their tilt with East Side on Wednesday with 15 consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with 16. They came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

West Caldwell Tech easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-17.

Timothy Smith paced West Caldwell Tech's offense, picking up seven kills. Smith got some help from Dennis Ayora and his 13 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

West Caldwell Tech's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for East Side, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, West Caldwell Tech will welcome Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Side, they are taking a road trip to face off against Newark Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
