Baseball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Selah Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Saturday.

Grandview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Mendoza, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Selah, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grandview is set to take on their familiar foe Prosser at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Selah will square off against rival East Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings are on an eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Red Devils a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
