Preview: SEED DC vs. Richard Wright Public Charter School Spartans

SEED DC is 8-1 against the Spartans since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. SEED DC will head out on the road to take on the Richard Wright Public Charter School Spartans at 5:00 p.m. SEED DC is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.

SEED DC scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 84-38 win over BASIS at home. SEED DC pushed the score to 61-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Giants had little chance of recovering from.

SEED DC's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wendell Allsbrook, who scored 22 points along with five assists and two steals. Allsbrook has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Mercer, who scored 18 points along with four steals.

Meanwhile, Richard Wright Public Charter School's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by Digital Pioneers Academy at home and fell 67-30.

SEED DC's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Richard Wright Public Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

SEED DC took their victory against the Spartans in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 60-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for SEED DC since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
