Volleyball Game Preview: Dexter Demons vs. Ruidoso Warriors + Official Tickets

Dexter hasn't had much luck against Ruidoso recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Demons will square off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Dexter will be strutting in after a win while Ruidoso will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Dexter turned things around against Tularosa on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats.

While Dexter might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Tularosa scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Ruidoso didn't have quite enough to beat New Mexico Military Institute on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Ruidoso wouldn't go down easily and took New Mexico Military Institute into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-27, 19-25, 15-12.

Dexter's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 13-8. As for Ruidoso, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-9.

Dexter suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Ruidoso when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can the Demons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
