Volleyball Recap: Green Canyon Starts off Right with Win over Davis

Green Canyon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Davis Darts with a sharp 3-0 win. The Wolves were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Darts, so the Wolves were just returning the favor.

Green Canyon walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-18, 25-19.

Leading Green Canyon to victory were Charly Monson and Jaylee Blotter. Monson had ten digs and five aces, while Blotter had seven digs and two aces. Those five aces gave Monson a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Canyon will take on Woods Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davis, they will venture away from home to face off against Copper Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
