Baseball Game Preview: Alvin Yellowjackets vs. Barbers Hill Eagles

The Alvin Yellowjackets are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the Barbers Hill Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Alvin saw some tournament action on Friday. They lost 8-2 to Porter. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, on Friday Barbers Hill's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Deer Park 4-2.

Alvin now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Barbers Hill, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Alvin suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Barbers Hill when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
