Softball Recap: Sioux Central Comes Up Short

If Sioux Central was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of West Bend-Mallard on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels fell 6-3 to the Gehlen Catholic Jays on Saturday. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jays apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Sioux Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Gehlen Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Sioux Central will take on Emmetsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gehlen Catholic, they will face off against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
