It's playoff time, and Port Charlotte had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 61-11 victory over the Cape Coral Seahawks. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Port Charlotte's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rihanna Rosario, who posted 13 points and three steals. What's more, Rosario also posted a 57% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Alyssa Gipson was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Port Charlotte smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Port Charlotte is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.1 points over those games. As for Cape Coral, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.

Looking ahead, Port Charlotte will welcome St. Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Petersburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. Cape Coral does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
