Volleyball Recap: Rossville Gets the Win

Rossville won the last time they faced Seeger and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Rossville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.

Addi Gorbett paced Rossville's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gorbett got some help from Tori Fadness and her 32 assists. Finally, Ava Burkle kept Rossville's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Seeger lost, don't look at Aubry Herbert. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs.

Rossville's record is now 18-2. As for Seeger, their loss dropped their record down to 16-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rossville will host Sheridan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seeger, they will welcome South Vermillion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
