Roger Bacon will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Clark Montessori on Thursday. The Spartans blew past the Cougars 22-3. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Kenzie Schwartz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Schwartz was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Schlegel, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Gabby Ernst also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Roger Bacon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati Christian entered their matchup against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-7. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Anna Bowling made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomi Updegrove, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Roger Bacon has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Cincinnati Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Roger Bacon has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cincinnati Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Roger Bacon took their victory against Cincinnati Christian in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
