Softball Recap: Staunton Takes a Loss

Staunton fell victim to Fort Defiance and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 16-0. The Storm's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Staunton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fort Defiance, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Staunton will head out to take on Stuarts Draft at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Fort Defiance, they will welcome Buffalo Gap at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
