Soccer Game Preview: Forsyth Home Educators vs. Davidson Day

The Forsyth Home Educators Hawks will head out to challenge the Davidson Day Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Forsyth Home Educators' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Winston Salem Christian as they made off with a 3-0 win. Given Forsyth Home Educators' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Winston Salem Christian are ranked 281st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Emma Fuerbacher and Anna Pemberton scored all three of Forsyth Home Educators' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 34 goals.

Meanwhile, Davidson Day entered their tilt with Winston Salem Christian on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Lions.

Forsyth Home Educators is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 63 goals over those 14 contests. As for Davidson Day, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Forsyth Home Educators was able to grind out a solid victory over Davidson Day in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
