Baseball Recap: Dr. Phillips Comes Up Short

Dr. Phillips and Olympia pushed the score to 15-12 the last time they played Olympia, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost six in a row.

Dr. Phillips saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Pyka, who went 1-for-2 with one run. That run was Pyka's first of the season.

Dr. Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Olympia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dr. Phillips will face off against Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olympia, they will square off against Davenport at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
