Baseball Preview: Edison Eagles vs. St. Joseph Falcons
Edison and St. Joseph are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Eagles will square off against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Edison duked it out with St. Joseph on Monday. The Eagles never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Connor Murphy was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Edison is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-9 otherwise. Murphy was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Ray Tavarez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
