Baseball Game Preview: Van-Far Indians vs. Clopton Hawks

For the second straight game, Van-Far will face off against Clopton. The Indians will welcome the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Van-Far has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Van-Far's offense. They came up short against Clopton on Wednesday, falling 17-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Indians haven't been shut out since back in March.

For Clopton's part, Jacob Harrelson was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Harrelson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peter Daskalakis, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Clopton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Van-Far, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
