Baseball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Centerville was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell 5-1 to the Cardinal Comets. The Big Reds/Redettes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Cardinal, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Comets beat Centerville by a score of 10-4 later that day.
