Basketball Recap: Wekiva Mustangs vs. Altamonte Christian Eagles
The Wekiva Mustangs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 51-45 to the Altamonte Christian Eagles. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Altamonte Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arianna Ritz, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Ritz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Khloee Cooper was another key player, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 14 points.
Wekiva's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Altamonte Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Looking ahead, Wekiva will venture away from home to take on Bishop Moore at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
