Softball Recap: Southwest Guilford Cowboys vs. Walkertown Wolfpack
After flying high against Page on Tuesday, Southwest Guilford came back down to earth. The Southwest Guilford Cowboys lost 15-4 to the Walkertown Wolfpack on Wednesday. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Makayla Stefanik made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Aniya Harris was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Southwest Guilford now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Walkertown, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
Coming up, Southwest Guilford will welcome Western Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walkertown, they will venture away from home to face off against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Glenn: 2.5, Walkertown: 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
