The Oldham County Colonels will challenge the Anderson County Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Oldham County's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
If Oldham County beats Anderson County with 14 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Oldham County didn't even let Boone County on the board on Tuesday, marking Oldham County's second-straight 14-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won six in a row.
Kailyn Claybern looked comfortable as she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Oldham County let Aubrey Batts and Jozie Lashley run wild. Batts went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Lashley went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Lashley is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Sydney Wirth, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Anderson County and Male had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Anderson County fell just short of Male by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Bearcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Lacey Osborne was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Faith McGregor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.
Anderson County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oldham County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Oldham County was able to grind out a solid win over Anderson County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 17-13. Does Oldham County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Anderson County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
