The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vista del Lago, who took down 606th ranked Canyon Springs, 31-28.
The Ravens moved up to 677 from 719 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Inland Valley. Vista del Lago climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Cougars 31-28.
JW North's dynamic duo of Joseph Garcia and Marcus Baugh proved tough for Poly to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Garcia threw for 190 yards and four touchdowns and Baugh had 98 yards receiving. Kyle Helmle helped JW North's passing attack out by catching two balls for 54 yards.
Ruben Kelly was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 127 yards as Arlington topped the Bears. Martez Duarte also contributed to the rushing game with 12 yards on the ground.
JW North's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Garcia has thrown for 1299 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Baugh has 31 catches for 508 yards. Denzel Foster leads the league in rushing with 1215 yards.
A big matchup in Inland Valley this week will be when the Lions take on JW North. Arlington is in second place, while Mark Paredes' team is in third place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Pat Mccarthy's team takes on the Huskies. The Lions have allowed 132 points this season, while JW North has given up 171. Arlington allowed 27 points last week as it lost to Rancho Verde.
There should be lots of points scored when the Lions and the Huskies face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Arlington comes in having scored 241 this season, while JW North has scored 216. The Lions scored 20 points last week as they fell to the Mustangs.
