Softball Recap: Lindsay Knights vs. Alvord Bulldogs
If Lindsay was feeling good off their 12-1 takedown of Nocona last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lindsay Knights fell just short of the Alvord Bulldogs by a score of 13-11 on Monday. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Lindsay got a massive performance out of Reagan Swaney, who went 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Kylie Hielckert, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.
Lindsay's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Alvord, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.
Lindsay will take on Muenster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Muenster is coming into the match with four straight victories on the road, so Lindsay will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Alvord, they will face off against Era at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvord is facing Era at the right time seeing as Era is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
