Basketball Recap: Neodesha Blue Streaks vs. Cherryvale Chargers
The Neodesha Blue Streaks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Cherryvale for the full four quarters, racking up a 97-33 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Neodesha has managed all season.
Despite the loss, Cherryvale had strong showings from Landon Fox, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Westen Erbe, who scored eight points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Neodesha and bumps their season record up to 7-9. As for Cherryvale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Neodesha will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cubs on Tuesday. Hopefully Humboldt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday. As for Cherryvale, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bullpups at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Caney Valley's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Chargers have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
