Softball Recap: Palmetto Ridge Takes a Loss

Palmetto Ridge lost against Barron Collier back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears came up short against the Cougars, falling 12-2. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Teagan Delashmet was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Felicity Solorzano also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Palmetto Ridge and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Barron Collier, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Palmetto Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barron Collier, they will challenge Golden Gate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
