Somers won the last time they faced Rye and things went their way on Monday too. The Tuskers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Garnets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tuskers.

Somers had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-19.

Somers' win bumped their record up to 8-1-1. As for Rye, with the defeat, they broke their eight-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.
