Basketball Game Preview: Kamiak Knights vs. Mariner Marauders

The Kamiak Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Mariner Marauders at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

If Kamiak beats Mariner with 66 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Kamiak walked away with a 66-54 victory over Meridian on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mariner). They walked away with an 82-75 win over Oak Harbor on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Marauders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Kamiak is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Mariner, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Kamiak skirted past Mariner 83-80 when the teams last played back in January. Does Kamiak have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mariner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
