Volleyball Recap: Keystone Cobras vs. Central Texas Christian Lions

Keystone lost against Central Texas Christian last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Keystone Cobras fell just short of the Central Texas Christian Lions by a score of 3-2. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Keystone sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-27, 25-8, 18-25, 16-14.

Marlee Metzger paced Keystone's offense, picking up 15 kills. Metzger got some help from Luci Stevens and her 29 assists. Metzger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Central Texas Christian was led to victory by Meredith Turner and Kaitlyn Byrd. Turner had 11 digs, while Byrd had four digs.

Keystone's loss dropped their record down to 22-9-1. As for Central Texas Christian, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 34-15.

Keystone has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Covenant Christian on the 5th. As for Central Texas Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Grace Academy on the 31st.
