Softball Game Preview: Oak Hills Highlanders vs. St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs

The Oak Hills Highlanders will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Oak Hills is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They lost 14-2 to Montgomery County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Highlanders have suffered since March 23, 2024.

Meanwhile, St. Ursula Academy never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Batavia with a sharp 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Ursula Academy.

The result came thanks to O Basil's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks.

On the hitting side, J Booth was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was A Bunner, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Oak Hills took their victory against St. Ursula Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 10-2. Will Oak Hills repeat their success, or does St. Ursula Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
