Baseball Recap: Cushing Victorious

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Cushing nor Davenport made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 2-0.

Cushing saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Tucker, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Another was Gage Sharp, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

The win got Cushing back to even at 1-1. As for Davenport, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cushing will welcome Mannford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Davenport, they will host Oilton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
