Baseball Recap: Murphy Bulldogs vs. Cherokee Braves
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Murphy). They put the hurt on the Cherokee Braves with a sharp 17-3 victory on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Monday.

Adam Cook was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-5. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Hogsed, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Murphy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cherokee only posted an OBP of .259.
The win made it two in a row for Murphy and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cherokee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Murphy has already played their next game (against Towns County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cherokee will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Andrews at 4:30 p.m. on March 25th.
