Lowell and Hanover Central are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. The Lowell Red Devils will square off against the Hanover Central Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hanover Central took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lowell, who comes in off a win.

Lowell is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Whiting: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lowell blew Whiting out of the water with a 52-22 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Red Devils had established a 28 point advantage.

Lowell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Grskovich out in front who went 6-for-9 en route to 12 points. Roan Vasko was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hanover Central took on Gary West Side on Tuesday. Hanover Central fell 64-51 to Gary West Side. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Cougars are ranked 68th).

Lowell now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Hanover Central, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Lowell came up short against Hanover Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 39-31. Can Lowell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
