It's playoff time, and Springfield had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Pleasant Plains/New Berlin Cardinals by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Springfield's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Kamryn Hoffman was the driving force of Springfield's attack as she scored both of Springfield's goals, bringing her season total up to 55 goals.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 24-1-1. As for Pleasant Plains/New Berlin, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-3.

Looking ahead, Springfield will face off against Triad at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Triad will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Springfield surely won't give up without a fight. Pleasant Plains/New Berlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
