Basketball Recap: Donna North Takes a Loss

Donna North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Weslaco East Wildcats 69-21. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1678th, while the Wildcats are ranked 356th).

Donna North's loss dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Weslaco East, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 26-4.

Donna North will be playing at home against Harlingen South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Harlingen South's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. Weslaco East has already played their next contest (against Rivera), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
