Softball Game Preview: North East Indians vs. Harford Tech Cobras

For the second straight game, North East will face off against Harford Tech. North East will venture away from home to square off against Harford Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, North East earned a 5-2 victory over Harford Tech. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Cobras: they've now won three in a row.

Jahnel Ledford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Victoria McGee was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Haven Anton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

North East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harford Tech only posted a batting average of .087.

Harford Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for North East, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North East has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Harford Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.8 strikeouts.
