Volleyball Recap: KIPP Newark Lab Takes a Loss

KIPP Newark Lab was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belleville Buccaneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

KIPP Newark Lab's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Belleville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

After both having extra time off, KIPP Newark Lab and Eagle Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP Newark Lab is facing Eagle Academy at the right time seeing as Eagle Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Belleville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against West Orange on the 23rd.
