Basketball Recap: Scotlandville Wins Going Away Against Bonnabel

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scotlandville). They enjoyed a cozy 61-47 victory over the Bonnabel Bruins on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.

Scotlandville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joe Tate out in front who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten assists. Thanks to that strong game, Tate now owns an excellent 48.3% shooting accuracy. Jakarin Whitfield was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Scotlandville and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. As for Bonnabel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Scotlandville will head out to challenge West Feliciana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bonnabel, they will face off against Livingston Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
